The Conference Center of the Ibis Style Dunarea Hotel in Galati will host on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00, the closing conference of the project Integrated System for Complex Environmental Research and Monitoring in the Danube River area, REXDAN, contract no. 309/10.07.2020, SMIS code 2014+: 127065, project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, implemented by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati between 10.07.2020 - 31.12.2023.
The 2023 edition of the University Metaranking, a ranking made independently by a group of experts from several higher education institutions, brings "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati to the 11th position, with 6 points, along with the University of Oradea, "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu and "George Emil Palade" University of Targu Mures.
Between November 16-17, 2023, the opening meeting of the project "Learning European Alliance for Digital, Environmental and Resilient Shipbuilding-LeaderSHIP" took place, a project co-funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) through the ERASMUS + program, Alliance for Innovation, Lot 2, reference 101111595 (4 million Euro).
European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Mrs. Elisa Ferreira,officially visited "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati on Monday, November 27. She is the second most important Commissioner from Brussels to visit our university, after the presence in September 2022 of the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mrs. Mariya Gabriel.

During November 15-16, 2023, within the ERASMUS+ project "South Mediterranean Tunisian Maintenance Centre of Excellence/SM-TMC", a group of 12 professors from the Universities of Sfax, Jendouba, Carthage and Gabes from Tunisia, France, Spain, and a representative of EWF – European Welding Federation, participated at the annual management and training meeting.

On November 9th, the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the UGAL INVENT Innovation and Research Salon took place in the central hall of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. More than 280 researches, innovations and inventions from nearly 40 fields are presented at the event.
On November 7, 2023, the lobby of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati was too small for the students who came to see what job offers and internships have over 40 companies, public and private institutions in the region, which were present at the event. Young people had the opportunity to directly discuss with employers and get informed about the jobs they could get while still in college or after graduation.
