The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has the privilege of being founded on the basis of a recognized tradition of Galati’s economic education, mentioning that the first commercial school in Romania was established in Galati, in October 1864 and in 1934 the Academy of Export from Galati was founded. Within this framework, two major economic personalities recognized internationally have appeared: professors Virgil Madgearu and Anghel Rugina. On the basis of such an ascendant, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has set, since its establishment in 1990, to keep up the effort to regain national and international reputation commonly recognized. The faculty's mission is to provide the highest quality regarding educational services in the economic field, by assimilating the western standards of academic education and integrating it with the scientific research. The vision of the faculty is to maintain itself as one of the most modern and dynamic institutions of economic higher education, with a rich offer of academic services for all cycles of study: undergraduate, master's, PhD. The value system reflects the approach of the entire teaching staff to ensure the fulfillment of the mission assumed. Tradition - The economic school of Galati has a recognized tradition and this aspect forces both the current and future generations to respect the past and strive for the future. Professionalism – the faculty’s talented professors mobilize to passionately educate valuable economists with high professional and moral standing. Creativity - it is essential to achieve differentiation in the educational market. Through our activities we encourage students to communicate and take initiatives. Integrity - the professors and students conduct is governed by honesty, fairness and morality. |
