Established in 2003, the Faculty of Arts has three undergraduate and one master's study programs. The procedures for establishing a master's study program in the field of Music entitled Lyrical performance in theory and practice and of the research center in the field of Arts, which will bring together the three fields of activity from an interdisciplinary and integrative perspective have recently been initiated. The Department of Theater, Music and Fine Arts coordinates the didactic, cultural-artistic and research activity of 22 professors and 150 students who have lecture halls and seminars, 4 painting workshops, a showroom of about 200 seats, two study rooms for the internal productions of Acting and a music production studio. The students have the opportunity to perform artistically on the stage of the cultural institutions in partnership with the Faculty of Arts in Galati and are often rewarded with distinctions and prizes at different festivals or competitions. At the same time, as beneficiaries of Erasmus mobilities, they have the opportunity to study in university centers in the European Union. The Musical theater master’s study program benefits from a training course at the Beijing Theater Academy. The Faculty of Arts prepares the establishment of a Philharmonic and benefits from the existence of the masterclass and the international singing competition under the guidance of soprano Leontina Vaduva, within the international festival "Leonard", having as partner the Musical Theater in Galati. |
