The main purpose of the CCS-UDJG activity is to elaborate on the DJUG research, technological development, and innovation strategy and to submit it to the Board of Directors and to the University Senate for approval. Also, the CCS-UDJG identifies the priority research directions at DJUG, ensures the coordination, orientation, and evaluation of the scientific and innovation research activity within the university, identifies the sources of funding, monitors the activity of the research units and the efficient use of the research infrastructure and of the human resource, in order to increase the scientific performance and visibility of the academic community at national and international levels.
In order to fulfill its tasks, the CCS-UDJG is structured in the following standing committees:
- Commission for management and evaluation of the R&D activity;
- Commission for the financing of scientific research;
- Commission for the organization and infrastructure of research units;
- Commission for internationalization and promotion of international visibility in research.
