Admission requirements for EU candidates


Citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland who apply for admission to the Romanian education system must meet the same conditions as Romanian citizens and have the same tuition fees as Romanian students.
The recognition of studies is done by the National Centre for Equivalence and Recognition of Diplomas.

Submitting documents for enrolling at undergraduate studies


1. Required documents for EU citizens

(1) Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data, filled in entirely;

(2) Baccalaureate (High school) diploma:
  • copy if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian;
  • copy and translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages.
For states that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, the study documents subject to equivalence / recognition must be endorsed with the Hague Apostille by the competent authorities of the issuing countries. Study documents from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus will have the Hague Convention Apostille, while the other EU member states are exempted.

(3) Academic record for the IX-XII/XIII grades:
  • copy if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian;
  • copy and translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages.
(4) Other documents: certificate of passing the final high school exam from Italy;  Pruebas de Aptitud para el Acceso a la Universidad, calificación Apto from Spain; Panellinies Exetaseis - certificate for the national exams for general high school from Greece; certificate issued by Verket för högskoleservice regarding the access to university studies from Sweden; Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) from the United States of America; copy if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian; copy and translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages.

(5) Copy after personal identification documents:
  • Passport;
  • ID document;
  • Proof of name change (if necessary), (Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian) (translation for other foreign languages);
  • Birth certificate.
(6) Health certificate in an international language attesting that the applicant does not suffer from contagious/chronic diseases, personal history related to chronic diseases and SARS-COV2;

(7) 3 ID photos;

(8) Application form for equivalence the high school diploma obtained abroad. (Application forms – Annex 1) the equivalence certificate of the diploma if it exists

(9) Romanian language certificate

(10) Registration fee – 150 RON
