This event is organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, in partnership with the College of Pharmacists and the Emergency Clinical Hospital "Sf. Apostol Andrei" Galati and is dedicated to teachers, pharmacists, doctors, chemists, biologists, biochemists, as well as residents, doctoral students and students.
On Monday, October 2, in the Aula "Al. I. Cuza" took place the opening ceremony of the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of the representatives of the academic environment, officials, students and parents. The officials were Mr. Claudiu GAVRIL, Prefect of Galati County, Mr. Costel FOTEA, President of Galati County Council, Mr. Ionut PUCHEANU, Mayor of Galati, and His Eminence Dr. Casian CRACIUN, Archbishop of the Lower Danube, who sent messages for students and teachers at the beginning of the academic year.
The Faculty of Letters of the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, along with the Romanian Association of Press History (ARIP), the Institute for the Culture of Romanians in Vojvodina (Serbia), the University of Novi Sad (Serbia), the "Romanian Sheet" – the Journal of Romanians in Hungary, the Archdiocese of the Lower Danube, the Bishopric of Tulcii, the "Paul Paltanea" History Museum and the "V.A. Urechia" Library organize, on October 6 and 7, in Galati, the sixteenth edition of the International Conference "CULTURE AND PRESS IN THE EUROPEAN SPACE", which has as theme: "HYBRID WAR REFLECTED IN THE MEDIA".
The first edition of the CARDIOGAL Cardiology Conference will take place in Galati, between October 5–7, 2023. The event will be organized under the aegis of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati through the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as the College of Physicians of Galati. Internationally renowned specialists from the USA, Sweden and Romania are expected to participate. The event will take place in ONSITE format, but, at the same time, it will also benefit from the ONLINE transmission of the works.
A delegation of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, consisting of Professor Silvius Stanciu, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Gina Necula, Dean of the Cross-border Faculty participate today in an Education Marathon in Cahul, held under the generic "Quality Management - the response of the Cahulean education system to current challenges".
Organized in partnership by Cahul District Council and Cahul General Directorate of Education, the event aims to encourage and mobilize the dissemination of successful experiences in the educational field.

Discreetly, just as he lived, the torch of life of Professor Aurel Stoian was extinguished. The professor graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of "Al. I. Cuza" University of Iasi in 1959, being part of a golden promotion of the Faculty of Chemistry. He was a distinguished master who, through an academic life in Truth, Good and Beauty, polished the consciences of many disciples.
On September 19, 2023, Professor Valentin TURLAN, PhD (born on September 6, 1938, Voinesti, Dambovita). His academic career began on September 15, 1960, by government assignment, at the end of his university studies at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, Faculty of Letters, Romanian language, and literature – history section.
The conference "Modern approaches of the environment-climate change interconnectivity", ENVIROCLIM 2, organized by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati between September 20-22, 2023, is dedicated to communicating research results in the field of feedback between environmental processes (water, soil, biodiversity, ecological reconstruction) and climate change and building an interdisciplinary vision on environmental processes affected or contributing to climate change.
