A delegation of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati led by the Vice-Rector for Research, Development, Innovation and Partnership with the Economic and Social Environment, Prof. Silvius Stanciu, PhD, honored with their presence the festivities occasioned by the 32nd anniversary of the foundation of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.


"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, through the Center for Career Counseling and Guidance, welcomes its freshmen students at the Student Info Point DJUG – Information and integration program for first year students.


Discreetly, just as he lived, the torch of life of Professor Aurel Stoian was extinguished. The professor graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of "Al. I. Cuza" University of Iasi in 1959, being part of a golden promotion of the Faculty of Chemistry. He was a distinguished master who, through an academic life in Truth, Good and Beauty, polished the consciences of many disciples.


On September 19, 2023, Professor Valentin TURLAN, PhD (born on September 6, 1938, Voinesti, Dambovita). His academic career began on September 15, 1960, by government assignment, at the end of his university studies at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, Faculty of Letters, Romanian language, and literature – history section.


The conference "Modern approaches of the environment-climate change interconnectivity", ENVIROCLIM 2, organized by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati between September 20-22, 2023, is dedicated to communicating research results in the field of feedback between environmental processes (water, soil, biodiversity, ecological reconstruction) and climate change and building an interdisciplinary vision on environmental processes affected or contributing to climate change.


On Thursday September 7, will debut the second edition of the National Conference on Gynecological and Urological Oncology, the chosen theme for this year being "New horizons in the multidisciplinary treatment of gynecological and urological cancers".


The construction of the largest research vessel on Europe's inland waters, which was financed through the Competitiveness Operational Program, Call: POC/448/1/1/Large R&D infrastructures, through the project "Integrated system for complex environmental research and monitoring in the Danube River area, REXDAN, 127065", will arrive tomorrow, Thursday, August 31, in Galati.


The AD Scientific Index analyzes the academic studies from 218 countries, 22,390 universities/institutions, and 1,352,730 scientists using the H-index, i10 index, and citation count criteria to present results that will be used to assess productivity and efficiency by individuals and institutions.


Between September 14 and 16, 2023, the National Council of Rectors will take place in the hosting of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. The event coincides with the celebration of 75 years of academic higher education in Galati. The agenda will include important topics such as discussions on the application of Law 199/2023 on higher education, funding and development opportunities for Romanian universities, national and international partnerships to contribute to the development of research and innovation activities.


The 28th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA 2023),took place at the CASINO International Conference Center in Sinaia, Romania, between September 12-15, 2023. ETFA is one of the traditional conferences of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES). Since its inception in 1992 (Melbourne, Australia), the ETFA conference has evolved into one of the leading IEEE conferences dedicated to emerging technologies and automation. The last three editions took place in: ETFA 2020 – Vienna, Austria, ETFA 2021 – Vasteras, Sweden, ETFA 2022 – Stuttgart, Germany.
