The Conference Center of the Ibis Style Dunarea Hotel in Galati will host on Friday, December 15, 2023, at  10:00, the closing conference of the project Integrated System for Complex Environmental Research and Monitoring in the Danube River area, REXDAN, contract no. 309/10.07.2020, SMIS code 2014+: 127065, project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, implemented by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati between 10.07.2020 - 31.12.2023.

The total value of the project is 96,270,505.42 lei, and the total eligible value is 96,178,513.42 lei, of which 81,751,736.41 lei is the non-reimbursable eligible value from the European Regional Development Fund and 4,426,777.01 lei the non-reimbursable eligible value from the national budget.

The overall objective of the project was to increase the research capacity of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati in the field of smart specialization: Energy, environment, climate change in the Danube River basin, and the main result is represented by the REXDAN Research Infrastructure with its 2 components, fixed research center and research vessel, which include 18 laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
