Between November 16-17, 2023, the opening meeting of the project "Learning European Alliance for Digital, Environmental and Resilient Shipbuilding-LeaderSHIP" took place, a project co-funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) through the ERASMUS + program, Alliance for Innovation, Lot 2, reference 101111595 (4 million Euro).

The event organized by the University of Applied Sciences in Turku (TUAS), Finland, was attended by the 18 partners of the academic, vocational, professional, and economic community (Italy, France, Spain, Norway, and Denmark).

The main objective of this project is to update the competences specific to the human resource (ESCO qualification level: 3-8), certified in the naval field, according to the new Green Skills and Digital Skills requirements and to make the training programs compatible at European Union level.

"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati participates in the activities of the European project LeaderSHIP with a team of 8 teachers from the Faculty of Naval Architecture, coordinated by Associate Professor Gabriel Popescu, PhD, as project manager (2023-2027).
