The Faculty of Sciences and Environment and Research Infrastructure REXDANorganizes between November 10 and 11, 2023, a conference with the topic: Management plans of protected areas in the context of sustainable development. Academic partisans and stakeholders. 

In recent years, "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati has been actively involved in developing management plans for various protected areas. The most important project in this category is the POIM  Project Revision of the Management Plan and DDBR Regulation, SMIS code 2014+ 123322, project in which DJUG ensured the mapping of habitats of predeltaic areas, overall and detailed review of species and habitats of both community interest and those with a high degree of vulnerability, the teams of specialists managing to successfully complete field observations,  with remarkable results through the management measures subsequently proposed. Socio-economic studies were also carried out and a series of consultations with stakeholders took place.

By organizing this conference, the achievements of the university in this field are highlighted and an environment is provided in which specialists in the field will present up-to-date issues and identify/propose some solutions that could bring improvements to the existing situation.

The conference will be held in the Panoramic Hall of the Mercure Hotel, today, 10.11.2023, at 9.30 am, and in the conference room of the research and passenger ship for day voyages, REXDAN, on Saturday, 11.11.2023, at 11.00 am.
