Over 1200 students in grades X, XI and XII, from Buzau County, accompanied by their teachers or parents, participated yesterday in the Student #DJUG Educational Fair, which was organized in the Eurocampus building on Hangarului Street, no. 8, reached its 3rd edition. Faculty representatives came in front of young people with interesting study programs, unique experiments, artistic moments, and an hourly raffle, with prizes offered by Cocorico and My Pencil.

"The great joy of today is that the young generation participate in such actions. Our priority is to guide our children to a more fulfilling life. One of the most important achievements as an administration was bringing this extension of DJUG to Buzau. We want our students to go to a college close from home," said Daniel Marian Ticlea, prefect of Buzau County.

"We obtained, along with "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, a financing of 21 million euros, for a consortium of dual and technical higher education, which will train, in Buzau, craftsmen, highly qualified workers, but also engineers. I urge you to choose one of the faculties in Galati, because here you will find good and dedicated teachers, top laboratories, and excellent conditions for continuing research", said Constantin Toma, Mayor of Buzau, graduate of ACT (Automobile construction technology)within the Faculty of Engineering Galati.

"It is the third year in which our children are students of the faculties of DJUG, in the summer of 2024 we will have the first generation of graduates of the Buzau extension. Attending an educational fair at the beginning of the school year is the best thing to do. It is important to know what you want, to go home with useful information and to make an informed career choice", said Daniela Palcau, General School Inspector of ISJ Buzau.

"We are the most important university in the south-eastern part of the country, we thank the local and county authorities, our hosts, ISJ representatives but also the students interested in what DJUG has to offer. You have good children, interested in performing and this was seen this year, at admission, when we had the biggest competition in Buzau, on all specializations. We come every year with news, from autumn there will be other fields of study, slowly, slowly a new university is formed in Buzau. We are waiting for you to perform, to study from home, to stay at home, in the workforce", said prof. Silvius Stanciu, PhD, Vice-Rector of the University, initiator of this campaign.

"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati organized, last year, admission session in Buzau for bachelor programs: Physical Education, Law, and Agriculture, but also for two master programs on food industry: Engineering and management in public food and agrotourism and Expertise in combating food fraud.

The educational fairs "Student #DJUG" are part of the project "Partnership for educational performance", developed by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, along with County School Inspectorates and pre-university education institutions. The next educational fairs will be in Tecuci (November 9th), Vaslui (November 16th) and Galati (November 22nd).
