The opening ceremony of the University for Seniors, a pilot project started in 2016 by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati for seniors, took place today, October 16, at 10:00, in the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. The courses will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10:00-12:00.

Several dozen pensioners came to the opening, some excited as on the first day of school, even with flowers for teachers, but all happy to have the opportunity to study at a university.

After the official opening, all seniors were invited to the opening of the painting exhibition "Passion for beauty".

The works are exhibited by: Lucia Georgescu, Adriana Stoica and Elena Giuglea, former students within this project.
