The latest Top World Ranking of Scientists 2% of the most important scientists in the world (ranking made by Stanford University, along with Elsevier Publishing House and SciTech Strategies) was published on https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/6.

According to this ranking, in terms of scientific achievements for 2022, four of the top 238 researchers in Romania are from "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. We are talking about Academician Eugen Victor Cristian RUSU, Director of the Doctoral Schools of the University, prof. Liliana Celia RUSU, PhD, from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, prof. Constantin APETREI, PhD, from the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environment, Faculty of Sciences and Environment and prof. Lidia BENEA, PhD, from the Faculty of Engineering, field of Materials Engineering. Last year, the higher education institution in Galati was represented worldwide by the same four teachers.

Regarding the chapter "opera omnia", all four professors from "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati are in the Top this year. They are among the 169 Romanians included on the list, the selection criterion being the achievements in the field of research last year.

According to these classifications, Academician Eugen RUSU ranks 37th in Romania, ranking in the top 25% of this world top.
