Today, the "Fani Tardini" Drama Theatre Hall hosted the opening ceremony of the second edition of the National Conference of Gynecological and Urological Oncology, organized in partnership by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Galati, "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, Romanian Society of Radiotherapy, Romanian Society of Medical Physics, College of Physicians Galati, and Emergency Clinical Hospital "Sf. Apostol Andrei" Galati.

At the presidium were the rector of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, professor Puiu-Lucian Georgescu, PhD, coordinator of the conference, Professor Laura Rebegea, PhD, honorary presidents of the conference Professor Rodica Anghel, PhD and Professor Aurel Nechita, PhD, as well as the president of Galati County Council, Costel Fotea, one of the supporters of the medical act in Galati.

The room was filled with doctors of various specialties, oncologists, radiotherapists, gynecologists, urologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, medical physicists, psychotherapists, family doctors as well as all professionals involved in the complex management of these pathologies. During the three days of the conference, they will be able to participate in presentations on various topics, from prevention and early diagnosis of cancers to treatment and post-therapeutic follow-up.

The presented papers will contribute both to the evaluation of current strategies and to the therapeutic perspectives that are constantly opening in this field.
