"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, through the Faculty of Letters, announces the start of registrations for the ”Communication on social networks” Summer School. It is about a summer study program dedicated to students and high school students, which will take place between July 17-27, 2023. The courses will take place at the headquarters of the Faculty of Letters, will have a very current topic and, at the same time, loved by young people, will be held by specialized lecturers and will be free of charge.

The daily program is 4 hours class, between 10:00 and 15:00, with lunch break between 12:00 and 13:00. Important: the meals provided are free of charge regarding the students at the cafeteria on the Science Campus.

There are 30 places for high school students, plus volunteer students of the Faculty of Letters, specializing in Journalism. Among the scheduled courses and workshops, we list:

1. Workshop for effective writing (clear writing). How to write for online.
2. Visual story. Image communication.
3. How to get information from SM. Fake-news, lies and manipulation.
4. New online communication rules. Hybrid stories.
5. Creative writing workshop.
6. Mass communication through emotional intelligence.
7. Communication games, creativity, and imagination stimulation.

Students will also participate to a full session of tests to determine the best choices in terms of professional life. The tests, both individual and group, will be carried out by specialists from the Center for Career Counseling and Guidance within "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati.

Those interested must be high school students or recent high school graduates and want to know more about communication on social networks. The e-mail will contain the name and surname, the high school where the student studies (or has graduated, in the case of those who have completed the twelfth grade), as well as a short text (10 lines) motivating the desire to participate in the Summer School. The text will be the selection criterion if there are more applications than the number of places available.
