At the initiative of the Faculty of Arts, "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati signed a partnership agreement with the Union of Plastic Artists – Galati Branch to recognize the status of professional art gallery of the space in the large hall of the University, under the name of "Academica" Gallery.

The collaboration will allow professional associations, professional plastic artists from the country and abroad, students and graduates of the Faculties of Arts to organize exhibitions and cultural events of importance for Galati. These are visual art exhibitions, exhibitions of painting, sculpture, graphics and other cultural or scientific events.

Besides the fact that Galati will now have a generous cultural space, the advantage is also on the students’ side of the Faculty of Arts who will have easier access to exhibitions throughout their student years, but also to internships, conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Starting today, Romanian and abroad professional artists will have at their disposal an adequate space for organizing cultural and artistic events.
