The Embassy of France in Romania, the French Institute in Romania, the Francophone University Agency (AUF) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFER) organized, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, on the occasion of World France Alumni Day, the "Forum of Francophone Careers and Studies in Romania".
The event was opened in the presence of HE Laurence AUER, Ambassador of France in Bucharest and took place on May 19 and 20, 2023 at the French Institute in the capital. The Forum was organized as part of events dedicated to the first edition of World France Alumni Day. Moreover, on the occasion of this event, the 2023 edition of the Guide to francophone university branches in Romania – Guide des filières universitaires francophones en Roumanie – was launched.
"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galaṭi proposed a promotion stand attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana-Elena COSTANDACHE from the Faculty of Letters, Claudia LUPU from the International Cooperation Office, foreign students and university extensions and Florentina GAVRILĂ from the Foreign Student Relations Office within DJUG.
Students of over 100 francophone university branches in Romania came to the Forum to better know the stakes of learning French and the prospects of professional insertion in the francophone economic space in Romania and worldwide. Also, Romanian students (especially those studying in the 25 bilingual francophone high schools in the country) had the opportunity to get to know closely the francophone professions and the available job offers on the market. In this respect, highlighting the continuum from school to professional life, passing through high school and university studies, was the main concern of all partners who supported this Forum.
The participants benefited from a rich program of activities: exhibition stands of companies, exhibition stands of universities, meetings of managers of francophone university branches, recruitment spaces (contacts, interviews, CV submissions), reflection workshops, training workshops and round tables for exchange of experience with France Alumni.
