The Ministry of Investments and European Projects hosted on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Just Transition Program 2021-2027. "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, as a member of this monitoring committee, was represented by the vice-rector with the research, development, innovation activity and the partnership with the economic and social environment, prof. dr. Ing. ec. Silviu STANCIU.

During the meeting, the Just Transition Program 2021-2027 was extensively presented, the Organization and Functioning Regulation, the Technical Assistance Strategy and the selection, eligibility, technical and financial evaluation criteria applicable to the Technical Assistance Priority were approved.

The main objective of the Just Transition Program is to support environmentally sustainable economic diversification, of the small and medium-sized productive entrepreneurial sector, including female entrepreneurship, with a view to increasing the competitiveness and capacity of affected local economies to generate sustainable, secure, and attractive pay-as-you-go jobs.
