The Faculty of Engineering awarded on Friday, May 19, 2023, during the award ceremony of the National Session of Student Scientific Communications "Anghel Saligny", XVth edition, 2023, the most performing teachers and students. The event is organized annually, around May 21, the day of the spiritual patrons of the Faculty of Engineering, Holy Emperors Constantine, and Helen.

This year, the Council of the Faculty of Engineering awarded the "OPERA OMNIA" Diploma for the entire scientific research activity to Prof. univ. dr. chim. Lidia BENEA and Prof. univ. dr. chim. Viorica MUSAT. Also, the "ANGHEL SALIGNY" Diploma for results of excellence in the teaching position was awarded to Prof. acad. dr. eng. DHC Eugen-Victor-Cristian RUSU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Stefan BALTA, and Mrs. Lecturer dr. eng. Mariana Busila. The diploma "FLORIN DORU CILINCA", for promoting the image of the Faculty of Engineering, was awarded to Prof. univ. dr. eng. DHC Catalin FETECAU.

The Faculty of Engineering awarded diplomas to students who had outstanding professional results in the academic year 2021-2022 and to students who were involved in promoting the educational offer and carried out volunteer activities in support of refugees from Ukraine. Also in this edition, diplomas of merit were awarded to teachers who contributed to promoting the educational offer of the Faculty of Engineering at the educational fairs STUDENT#UDJG 2023.

The event ended with awarding students and coordinating teachers from the Technical University of Moldova, Polytechnic University of Bucharest, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy of Constanta, Ovidius University of Constanta, University of Craiova and "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, for the excellent results presented at the "Anghel Saligny" National Student Scientific Communication Session, 2022.

The General Association of Engineers in Romania (AGIR) Galati Branch awarded with the diploma of excellence the work with the most engineering approach to a technical problem from each section of the National Session of Student Scientific Communications "Anghel Saligny", XVth edition, and the company AEROSTAR S.A. Bacau awarded the most ingenious research topics presented at the five sessions organized for students.
