"Dunărea de Jos" University of Galati is bringing out for competition, for the autumn admission, budgeted seats for the newest PhD fields of Institution Organizing Doctoral Studies (IODS) DJUG. These are Marketing (accredited within the School for Doctoral Studies in Social Humanities by Ministerial Order 4292 of 3.08.2022) and Pharmacy (accredited by Ministerial Order 818 of 19.08.2022 within the School for Doctoral Studies in Biomedical Sciences).

According to Academician Eugen Victor Cristian Rusu, Director of the Council for University Doctoral Studies (CUSD), in September, 6 budgeted seats will be available for the two new fields (4 in Pharmacy and Medicine and 2 in Marketing and Management) and almost 100 fee-paying places in the other 16 PhD fields, where all budgeted places (48) have been filled since summer.

Within IODS DJUG there are four doctoral schools (School for Doctoral Studies in Basic and Engineering Sciences, School for Doctoral Studies in Socio-Human Sciences, School for Doctoral Studies in Biomedical Sciences, School for Doctoral Studies in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering) with 18 doctoral fields. In the July admissions, 48 budget and 100 fee-paying places were offered for all 4 doctoral schools.

Autumn admissions calendar
Candidate registration will take place from 19-23 September and on 26 September. The admission colloquium will be organized by each doctoral school on 27 and 28 September, the results will be posted on 30 September and possible appeals are expected on the same day. The final results will be announced to candidates on 3-4 October. Those who are declared “admitted” are expected to sign their study contracts between 5-7 October, and from 10 October they can be considered PhD students.

In 2021, institutional accreditation of Schools for Doctoral Studies took place at DJUG, with all 16 fields, which were operating at that time, successfully accredited. This year, IODS DJUG has accredited two new PhD fields: Marketing and Pharmacy and has started the accreditation process for Law.
