New positions won by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati in the statistics of the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities ARWU (SHANGHAI Ranking) 2022. "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati was included in the Academic Ranking of World Universities ARWU (SHANGHAI Ranking) 2022 ranking at position 15 on a national level. Currently, 93 higher education institutions operate in our country, 53 of which are state institutions and 40 private ones.

The classification of universities is accomplished by evaluating broader or specific fields, and the analysis criteria consider a series of indicators of academic quality, such as students’ education in a certain field (bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctorate) and the results of scientific research, by quantifying some indicators such as the publication of research results in journals with a high impact factor.
