1.520 budgeted seats are available for the 2022 Admission at "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati. Most budgeted seats go to the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy (263). The following are in descending order: Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (217), Faculty of Automation, Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Electronics (190), Faculty of Engineering (150), Faculty of Engineering and Agronomy in Braila (103), Physical Education and Sports (100) and the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology (100).

The Cross-border Faculty has for the summer admission 275 budget seats with scholarships, dedicated to Romanians abroad. The Faculty of Naval Architecture, unique in the country, has prepared this year 60 budget seats, and the Food Science and Engineering will have 64 budgeted seats upon admission in the summer. Less than 100 budgeted seats are at the Faculty of Letters (93), Science and Environment (60), Law (90), and Arts (30). 1938 tax seats are allocated to the university in 2022. Also, for this year's admission, special seats are provided for graduates with a baccalaureate degree from the social protection system, those from rural areas, but also for those who graduated from DJUG and want to attend a second faculty.

Admission calendar
The first stage of admission is the registration of candidates, online or physically, between 4-16 July, 2022. For the Faculties: Physical Education and Sports / Arts / History, Philosophy and Theology (fields of Theology, Visual Arts), where aptitude tests are taken, the schedule of Stage I is as follows: 4-15 July online registration and registration at the specially arranged centers, 16-17 July eliminatory and competition tests. Candidates declared ADMITTED must submit the original baccalaureate diploma by 22 July 2022. After this date, the Second Stage of Summer Admission begins.

The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy has its own admission calendar: 11-22 July - online registration and at the specially arranged centers, 24-25 July - competition tests, 25-26 July - displaying the results of Stage I and resolving any objections, 26-31 July, submission of original baccalaureate diplomas (final deadline for submission of diplomas – 31 July, 12:00).

The Cross-Border Faculty also has its own admission calendar: 20-26 July – online registration and at the specially arranged center, 25-26 July - eliminatory and competition tests for the study programs that imply this, 27-28 July - display of the results from the Stage I and resolving any objections, 28-31 July submissions of original baccalaureate diplomas (deadline for submission of diplomas 31 July, 12:00).

In almost all faculties, admission is based on a file, the share of the average baccalaureate ranging between 50 and 100%, depending on the specifics of each. An exam is organized only at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy on 24 and 25 July.

Olympians with recognized performances at international competitions and high school graduates who have obtained distinctions at school Olympiads, artistic or sports competitions at the national or international level may be admitted to undergraduate university studies, without admission competition.
Both during the registration period and the competition tests, the candidates can stay in the Student Dormitory A from the Student Campus "Al. I. Cuza"- Str. Domnească no. 115.

Admission facilities
The following are exempt from paying the registration fee for admission to undergraduate and master's university studies: orphans of both parents, those from orphanages or the family placement system, children of teachers from institutions belonging to the Ministry of Education and aged up to 26 years; active teachers. Also, the children of the teaching staff, auxiliary and non-teaching staff who are active or retired, as well as the children orphaned by one or both parents who have worked in the education system and who are up to 26 years old are exempt from paying the registration fee, to the admission contest and benefit for free accommodation in dormitories.

Candidates for admission in 2022 whose parents are graduates of "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, benefit from a reduction of 50 lei to pay the registration fee for a single competition file. They must present, at registration, a copy of the parent's graduation diploma. DJUG graduates, who enroll in the second undergraduate program, the form of full-time education, benefit from a 50% reduction in the tuition fee for the entire period of studies, up to a maximum of 10% of the number of candidates admitted to faculty.
