"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati was also included in the 2022 Edition of The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2022, in two fields: Engineering (general engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering, and chemical engineering) and Physical Sciences (mathematics and statistics, physics and astronomy, chemistry, geology, environmental sciences, and earth and marine sciences).

"The performance of our institution is honorable, considering that only seven universities from Romania were included in THE 2022 rankings on Engineering, respectively six universities in Physical Sciences.
