Yesterday, February 24th, 2020, at "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, during a festive session of the Senate, the management contract was signed between the University Senate and the new Rector of the institution for the period 2020-2024.

On February 22nd, 2020, the mandate of Rector, Professor Puiu Lucian GEORGESCU, PhD., appointed by the Order of the Minister of Education and Research no. 3041 from 15.01.2020, has started.

Also today, the new Rector of the University presented in the plenary of the Senate the team of Vice-rectors, as follows:

Nicoleta BARBUTA-MISU – Vice-rector for financial management and administrative strategies
Cezar-Ionut BICHESCU- Vice-rector for international relations and university extensions
Elena MEREUTA – Vice-rector for didactic activity and quality assurance
Dragos Alexandru OPREANU – Vice-rector for human resources and legal management
Silvius STANCIU – Vice-rector for Research - Development - Innovation activity and partnership with the economic-social environment
Ciprian VLAD – Vice-rector for university strategies and partnerships with students.
